
5th grade geography project involving #MarchMadness. Students were assigned to research states and cities of the universities involved in the tournament, relevance of the team name, and other geographical information related to the university





Dress up day for your future career at the elementary. Mrs. Harding and Dr. Hirning have found replacements for when they retire.


We are all ready for the book fair next week! Monday through Thursday at the high school. There are books for all ages!





3rd Graders participating in todays dress up day "Readers are Leaders." They came to school dressed as what they want to be when they grow up.



Hooray! It is warm outside! Students can leave their snow pants, gloves, and hats at home! Our playground is muddy so they will still need boots. Also, a jacket is required. If the snow returns, we'll need to get the snow gear out again. Let's all keep our fingers crossed!


7th & 8th Grade Parents,
7th & 8th graders will be issued a Chromebook device to use for all classes & homework. A parent meeting is scheduled for 3/25/19 at 7 pm at the HS to explain an agreement & student expectations. We encourage parents to please attend this meeting.

Fifth graders used their engineering skills during tech time to see who could construct the most efficient catapult using the Rokenboks. It was full on engagement and FUN!!





Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled from 4-7 p.m. (or as individually scheduled) on the following days: DCE - March 21 & 26, DCHS - March 25 & 26.


Congratulations to Mavrick Wolf and Daimien Bailey for being the first students to solve 1,000 math facts (addition and subtraction 0-10) on Reflex! Wow, what a great start to our Reflex grant!


Oh, The Places You’ll Go craft was fun to do and a true statement for these awesome kids!

Well, we did not win the Academic Olympics at South Prairie yesterday, but we gave it our best shot!


Congratulations to the Divide County Chess Club at their tournament in Minot over the weekend. Payton Mueller placed 1st overall, Tate Haugenoe placed 1st in the K-5 age division, and Ryker Krebsbach placed 2nd in the K-5 age division! Way to Go!!!!


The Divide County FFA Livestock team competed today in Minot for the State FFA CDE contest. The team consisted of Cashlyn Krcklau, Tucker Svangstu, and Maren Burtman. The team received 31st place and Cashlyn received a silver award and Tucker received a bronze award. Congratulations to these 3 individuals.


3rd Grade’s comprehension skill this week is Author’s Purpose. Students played Author’s Purpose Uno as a fun learning tool.



The Book Fair will be at the high school next week! Come and see us before or after parent-teacher conferences!


The 5th grade class was awarded a grant from Reflex. Reflex is an online math facts fluency program. 5th grader students will begin the Reflex grant today and have access to it for one calendar year. Students will have access over the summer months and into 6th grade. Parents can watch their progress too! Informational letters will go home at Parent/Teacher conferences.





Mrs. R’s class is cuddled up with a book during our drop everything and read time!
