Stroll Night Caroling!!! DCE Elementary students in grades 3-6 have once again been invited to usher in the Christmas season by singing downtown on Stroll Night. We will gather just before 7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 24th in front of the Healthy Cricket (formerly Garbel's Furniture) on Main Street. We will sing for 15-20 minutes. All students who are able to come will get to have a special treat in school sometime after the concerts and before Christmas break. Dress for the weather and come to spread Christmas cheer to our community!

FACS I students are learning how to be efficient in the kitchen by using the concept of mise en place or preparing and measuring all ingredients before starting to cook. Yesterday was prep day and today they made fried rice.

Independent Living students had a tasty day, they all were able to pick one of their budget meals, grocery shop and make it. The winner of the cheapest meal per serving was Earlen with an $0.80 /serving goulosh!

Budgets and grocery shopping are the topic of the week in Independent Living. The kids drew for a scenario, made a weekly menu and grocery list all within a budget. This group even got to do their own shopping for one of the planned meals.
