The FCCLA would like to give our awesome community a huge shout-out! The free will donation from today's lunch raised over $700. We are going to be using it to put together birthday and cookie kits for the Divide County Food Pantry.
The DC FCCLA had the honor of catering the Veteran's Day Meal today. They planned, organized and made everything delicious. We served just under 100 program attendees.

STUDENT FAN BUS Sign-Up: There will be a student fan bus going but 20 students are needed to sign up and commit in order for the school to send this bus. Let's fill the bus and fill the gym! There is a sign-up sheet in the high school office.
8th grade FACS took part in prepping cakes and potatoes for tomorrow's Veteran's Day lunch.
Veteran's Day Meal preparation has begun! Foods class started the meatballs and cakes.
FACS I tried 2 new fruits today; pomegranate and mango. There were mixed reviews from the group, but definitely don't eat the pit.
TONIGHT-11/9/21-The DCHS varsity volleyball team plays Trenton at 6:00 pm @ Parshall HS in the second round of the Class B Region 8 VB Tournament. GO MAROONS!
8th graders used a website today to figure out the nutritional information for the food from some of their favorite restaurants.
We went gocery shopping today in FACS II. This group is in charge of planning the Veteran's Day Meal this year. We've found the recipes, scaled to feed 100 and scheduled all the tasks over 2 days to make a delicious homemade meal.
Junior high girls basketball practice will be from 3:45-5:30 at the High School. Parent meeting immediately to follow in the commons of the high school.

Down to our last pork chop lab, Juicy Skillet Pork Chops, one of the best so far. We also tried a fold over breakfast sandwich. A little surprise at the flipping process, but it turned out!
The 9th grade students will be attending the Minot Career Expo on Wednesday, Nov. 10th. We will leave the school at 8:45AM and return at 4:30. The students will need to bring some money for lunch. We are excited for this opportunity!
What do you do to keep these 2 occupied when they finish lab early? They get to do a "find it, make it" lab. Moons over my Hammy was the on the fly creation today.
Today's lab featured pork recipes. A couple of the boys made Baked BBQ Country-Style Ribs and Sweet and Spicy Glazed Pork Chops.
