DCHS and JH students: Tomorrow, Thursday the 14th will be the last official day of school instruction. Then you have this Friday and all next week to turn in existing assignments and finish up your missing or late work. We would like to thank all of the students for their hard work and effort during this years on-line school...just another week and your done! If you need any help, get a hold of and stay in contact with your teachers. We will do whatever it takes to help you finish the year strong!

Hey everyone, A document has been shared with the senior graduating class in their respective senior Google Classroom outlining the social distancing requirements of this years ceremony on May 24th at the high school gym. Each senior will get to bring eight family member guests, and will be seated by ushers six feet apart to maximize social distancing. Also, all graduates and their families will be required to wear masks. These precautions are being done in part to appease recommendations from the state of North Dakota and the state school board association. Ultimately DC schools are using these precautions to protect all of the graduating students, the graduates families and everyone involved with the ceremony. The school is recommending the decorating of individual masks to make the process more unique and enjoyable. Thanks everyone for your cooperation and understanding! Congrats to the class of 2020.

Hello DCE and DCHS families! The yearbook staff needs your help! We would like to see pictures of you in your "home" school setting! We want to see what life is like for everyone now. DCE students and families: We want to see where you do your school work and what you have been doing while at home. Have you learned something new or tried a new food? We want a picture of it! DCHS students and families: Where do you do your school work? We would like pictures of you in your prom dress, or the vehicle you were going to go to prom in, maybe the meal you would have eaten that night. FROM: ND Department of Public Instruction Heads up! Governor Burgum and Superintendent Kirsten Baesler will be discussing ways to safely hold high school graduations during his press briefing today (Wednesday May 6). If you have a child or loved one who is graduating from high school in North Dakota, you'll want to listen in. The press briefing begins at 3:30 p.m. Central. It will be streamed on the ND Department of Health's Facebook page. It will also be broadcast on local television stations.

Graduation will be held on May 24th at 2:00 as previously scheduled. Details of the exact location and ceremony will follow. Thank you.

ATTENTION ALL 8TH-11TH GRADE STUDENTS AND PARENTS: If you are a current student in any of the 8th through 11th grades, you need to pay particular attention to this notice. Mrs. Harding and I are inviting you to a Pre-Registration meeting this Friday morning, May 1, 2020, to complete a survey for next years’ classes (2020-21 school year). We have scheduled each class of grades 8-11 to meet for half an hour starting with 8th grade at 9:30 a.m. Friday morning, to explain the pre-registration survey and answer questions. Students will receive an invitation, Thursday, April 30 via their school g-mail account asking each student to join a Google Classroom that has been created specifically for next year’s registration, informing you of the time you need to be available Friday morning for your Google Meet and survey session. 8th grade class (incoming 9th grade) – 9:30 -- join “Incoming 9th Grade for 20-21 School Year” 9th grade class (incoming 10th grade) – 10:00 -- join “Incoming 10th Grade for 20-21 School Year” 10th grade class (incoming 11th grade) – 10:30 --join “Incoming 11th Grade for 20-21 School Year” 11th grade class (incoming 12th grade) – 11:00 --join “Incoming 12th Grade for 20-21 School Year” It is imperative that every student of each respective grade check into Google Classroom at their assigned time slot for this survey. Library books-If you are finished with a library book, please return it if you are able. We have other students waiting for books and the end of the year is fast approaching. Both elementary and HS books can be returned to the drop box located at the public library enterance. Please contact Mrs Wissbrod if you have any questions or concerns.

DCHS Senior Families - A survey seeking input from senior families regarding graduation was emailed today to emails we have on file. If you do not receive it, please email nicholas.ator@k12.nd.us with your updated email information.

Hey everyone. We all hope that you’re staying safe and healthy during this unprecedented time of unease and inconvenience. We know that the students of our school have all been dealt a cruel hand. Things like sporting seasons, awards ceremonies and social functions have been taken from them like never before, not to mention plain old school. We are working behind the scenes to make an honest effort at providing whatever we can in terms of these events. We are still, in part, hoping that possibly we can return to the school building in May. With that said, we need to consider forms of alternative options. We could have prom in May or at a later date into the summer. Graduation, especially, is our number one priority. For graduation specifically we are considering a few alternative plans including but not limited to: a ceremony outdoors on the football field where we could practice social distancing, a digital display of students using Facebook or the like, or simply moving the date back into the summer. All of these plans have weaknesses and will cause us problems, but it is the best we can offer during this time. In the meantime we are awaiting guidance from the Governor on whether we can be in the school building or not in May. At that point we can finalize our decisions as quickly as possible. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding.

Kindergarten Registration! Registration will be completed electronically at this time. Please reference the information found in the attached picture. Your child must be 5 years old on or before July 31st, 2020 to register for the 2020-2021 school year.

-As you know this coming Monday, April 13th is NO SCHOOL. The high school has decided that we should have Monday's schedule be made up on Friday the 17th. So in short, Next Friday the 17th you will have your EVEN hour/period classes, that would have happened on Monday. Next Week (13th to the 17th): Monday: No School Tuesday: ODD hour classes Wednesday: EVEN hour classes Thursday: ODD hour classes Friday: EVEN hour classes. Please reach out to your teachers and ask them if you have any questions on this. Thank you!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to say hello and thank all of our awesome students and staff for their hard work this first whole week of E-learning. I want everyone to know that we at the school are thinking about you and feeling confident that everything will get back to normal one of these great days. For our students grades 7 thru 12, if you need anything don't hesitate to email myself or your teachers on my/their Google account.
