
Yesterday our K-3 students had a visit from Miss Rodeo North Dakota, Lindsey Miller. She even read them a book that she authored called "The Girl in Lime Green Jeans".


ATTENTION ALL DCHS PARENTS AND STUDENTS: Attached is the schedule for the last week of school for grades 7-11. Seniors have been given their schedules separately. We have a busy week planned for final tests and extra-curriculars, so please do your best to ensure your student is in school. There are required tasks that need to be accomplished before our early dismissal on Friday, May 19 at 2:00 pm. Parents, please make sure your lunch balances are paid in full, and students have their required items for turn-in (library books, Chromebooks, chargers, textbooks, etc.). The replacement cost for a charger is $30.00, Chromebook replacement cost is $315, and lost library books are $20.00. These items should be paid for before the last day of school.



Mrs Ator's class is camping at Camp Learned A Lot over the next several days. Students started camp by working on a production of a play called Welcome to Camp Learn A Lot. Through out the week they will do a variety of fun learning activities.




6th grade parents, we need your help!
DCE will be presenting a special slide show to honor your child's time at the elementary as they will soon transition to the Jr. High. Please send a kindergarten photo (or age-related photo), AND a current photo of your child, along with a short and simple phrase of encouragement. (For example: Johnny, you make us proud! Love, mom and dad) Remember, this will be a surprise to the kids! Please submit the photos and message by email to lindy.nygaard@k12.nd.us by Friday, May 12. Please reach out to Mrs. Nygaard with questions! 6th Grade parents are welcome to attend on Friday, May 19 at 9:00!

Thursday, May 11th: VARSITY TRACK MEET at Parshall, leave time has been moved to 7:30AM because of potential rain.

Congratulations to Mr. Wendell Nelson and our 5-12 grade students tonight on their fantastic band and choir performances. They have worked hard and they sounded great! Also, a shout-out to Mrs. Muncaster and her art students for putting on a successful art show! DC is blessed with some talented kids. and teachers!

Congratulations to Aysnlee Kruger! Today Mrs. Ator's class was joined by Matt with the ND League of Cities and Mayor Troy Vassen to share some exciting news. Aynslee submitted an essay to the "If I Were Mayor" contest and won 1st prize out of over 1,000 essays that were submitted.
We are so proud of her and her accomplishment!
