Cupcake Wars has begun!
Mrs. Ratcliffe and Mrs. Loper's Special Education staff and students had so much fun making May Day baskets to hand out to each elementary staff member this afternoon, as well as to a few bus drivers!
8 th grade science kids made edible soil layers and shopping bags from old T shirts as a part of their Earth day project.

Elementary families. Winter gear is no longer needed at school. However, please make sure your child has school appropriate outdoor shoes, and either a light jacket or sweatshirt for chilly mornings. Thank you!

Dear DCE Families,
We are very sorry to inform you that at this time, the elementary spring concerts are being postponed. Due to a critical family medical need, Mrs. Oppegaard will be absent from school for an extended period of time. We are hoping to reschedule the concerts depending on when she is able to return to school. Please keep in mind this is out of everyone’s control and we hope you understand the urgency of the situation.
The 5th & 6th Grade BAND concert has been rescheduled to the HIGH SCHOOL on May 9 at 7 p.m. This will be in conjunction with the Grades 7-12 Concert.
DCE students will be participating in the Child Abuse Prevention Walk on Friday, April 28 at 2:20 down Main Street. If you do not want your child to participate, please contact the school office.
DCSD schools will be in session on May 19, 2023. It is a make-up day for last week's storm "snow" day. Last day of classes, May 19, 2023!

Is scratch cooking worth the time and effort? FACS II is figuring that out today in lab. They prepared a recipe from scratch and a convenience version. After the taste test we'll figure out the price per serving and decide if it was worth the savings.
