We are feeling REALLY special at DCE lately! WHY? Well, for one, we have the best, supportive community and families! Throughout this year, we have been shown so much support and love from local businesses and residents. We just want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has donated time or items to our staff and students!
Each year the 3rd graders use a program called “Kicking It Multiplication” to learn their multiplication facts. Each day they have 60 seconds to complete 60 multiplication facts They earn belts along the way after mastering 4 sets of 60 facts. Soren Jacobs earned his yellow belt today after mastering sets A-D. Congratulations Soren!

With everything that has gone on in our world throughout this past year and dealing with all of the unknown's, it has been hard for adults to handle these things, and even harder for all of the little people in our lives. As parents, one thing that we encourage you to do is to increase the amounts of mindfulness and social-emotional conversations between your child and yourself. Having these conversations with your child will help your child's well-being, as well as create a more positive climate at home. We encourage everyone to participate in this social emotional bingo card- if your child completes at least 8 of the squares and brings it back to Ms. Wheeling or Mrs. Ratcliffe, your child will receive a golden ticket!

Governor Burgum will allow the mask mandate to expire at 8 a.m. on Monday, January 18. Divide County School District will return to the mask requirements that were in place prior to the statewide mask mandate. Masks will be required at school when social distancing is not possible, upon entering & exiting the building, in hallways, on the bus, and after eating while in the lunchroom.
