Please note: DCE & DCHS will no longer be checking temperatures as students enter buses or school buildings in the morning. DCE Lunchroom News! We are expecting plexiglass to be delivered by October 1 which will allow us to increase the number of students utilizing the lunchroom at one time. ALL students will have access to hot lunches everyday once they arrive. At that time, we will discontinue serving sack lunches in the classroom. Thank you for your patience and understanding while working within our Health & Safety Plan procedures this year. Stay tuned for an exact start date.

Just a reminder as we welcome fans to student activities at DCHS: We understand we are considered a Blue County at this time, but we also know that we are not confined within our own county borders. Our own sports teams travel to other towns and we have other communities and schools attending events in our county and school. We want to support all of our students in the classroom as well as on the playing field/court. We want our students to continue face to face learning and continue to be afforded opportunities to participate in activities. It will take the efforts of all in our community and especially those in attendance at our school activities to help us limit the possible spread of COVID-19. We hope our community understands the stress it puts on our students and staff when they are required to quarantine to deliver instruction or receive instruction. We understand no one would ever intentionally cause this, it is unavoidable, and often spread without us even knowing. So, please, help us keep possible exposure to a minimum. Please help us and our students by doing the following when in attendance at our outdoor and indoor activities: 1. Stay home if you are sick. 2. Social distance – stay 6 feet away from others. 3. Wear a mask if you cannot social distance. 4. Wash hands frequently or use hand sanitizer.
