FACS I students made Crunchy Munchy Goop today. The recipe used measurements like;dip dot and dribbles instead of standard measurements. It took alot of guessing and a little frustration, but everyone finished and got a little snack.

9/13/2021 Dear Parent/Guardian and Staff We have been notified that there is a positive Covid case in Grade 4A. All classmates and staff in Grade 4A have been identified as likely close contacts to the individual with COVID-19. This does not mean that your child will get the COVID-19 infection, but staff/guardians should be aware of the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and what to do if you/your child gets sick. Divide County School District is allowing close contacts to attend school if they have not had a positive COVID test result and remain asymptomatic since the current COVID exposure, on the condition that close contacts wear a mask when inside the school and on the school bus for 10 days following the date of last exposure. If the close contact chooses to not wear a mask, or does not wear it properly, during the 10-day quarantine period, they must stay at home. Please note, this exemption DOES NOT apply to HOUSEHOLD Close Contacts. Household contacts will be required to stay home for the isolation and quarantine period, unless they have been vaccinated or had a documented case of COVID-19 within the last 90 days. Grade 4A students/staff quarantine/masking period extends from September 14 through September 20 at 11:59 p.m. The last date of exposure at school was on Friday, September 10.

9/12/2021 Dear Parent/Guardian, Please note that additional positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported at DCE and DCHS. All students/staff who rode on Bus #1 (Don Anderson's bus route) last week have been identified as likely close contacts to an individual with COVID-19. Thank you for your input on our recent survey. The feedback will help guide decisions as we navigate through the current increase in positive COVID cases and exposure at school. We will continue to survey parents and staff at periodic intervals throughout the year. Based on the information we received from parents and staff on the recent surveys, DCSD will continue with the current protocols: 1. Required masks of students and staff who are close contacts. Masks will be worn inside the school, on the bus, indoor practices/bench for 10 days after the last exposure to the positive case. If close contacts choose not to wear a mask, or wear it inappropriately, they will be required to quarantine at home. 2. Household contacts will be required to quarantine at home according to NDDOH guidelines. 3. Vaccinated household contacts may present their vaccination card and will be allowed to attend school while wearing a mask for the quarantine period. 4. Household contacts who have a documented case of COVID-19 within the last 90 days will be allowed to attend school while wearing a mask for the quarantine period. 5. Students and staff who are household contacts will need to present their NDDOH letter with release dates to the school before returning to class. 5. Students or staff who test positive for COVID-19 will need to isolate at home according to NDDOH guidelines. We know we cannot stop the spread of COVID. Our goal is to help slow the spread within our school and community so that we can continue functional levels of operation and education of our students. Without healthy staff and students, it is difficult to maintain meaningful instruction and student activities. There are currently 14 positive cases of COVID-19 among staff and students at DCSD K-12.

Dear DCE Parents, A fourth positive COVID case in 3D has been reported today at DCE. Due to all students in the class wearing masks, the current mask requirement will not be extended. The last day of mask wearing in 3D is Monday, September 13. After that date, masks will be recommended, but not required, unless there is another positive case after the mask requirement expires.

9/9/2021 Dear Parent/Guardian, Please note that additional positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported at DCE and DCHS. All classmates and staff in Grade 5 at DCE have been identified as likely close contacts to an individual with COVID-19. Additional positive cases have also been identified in Grade 3D, JV/V Football Team and Grade 12. No additional masking or quarantine time is required for these grade levels or activities due to either masking in school and/or the positive case not being in school during their infectious period. We are reporting the additional positive cases so you are aware of the most current situation. Divide County School District is allowing close contacts to attend school if they have not had a positive COVID test result and remain asymptomatic since the current COVID exposure, on the condition that close contacts wear a mask when inside the school or on the school bus for 10 days following the date of last exposure. Grade 5 masking or quarantine period extends from September 10 through September 19 at 11:59 p.m.
