World Kindness Day!
November 13, 2023

Thank you to all the brave men and women that have served our country and fought for the freedoms we have today. We appreciate you and your families!

Thank you to the Divide County Job Development Authority for sponsoring a Youth Lead Local training for some of our students. Youth Lead Local is a program offered through NDSU Extension. The students participated in a True Colors personality exercise, learned some basics of parliamentary procedure, how they can deal with conflict, and discussed project implementation.

Our freshman and juniors attended a career expo in Minot on Wednesday. They were able to visit and experience different career opportunities.

Throughout the week Mrs. Ator and Mrs. Kolstad's 3rd grade students learned about Veterans Day. We wanted to honor the courage and sacrifice made by all Veterans! Students brought addresses of family and friends who are Veterans and also addresses collected from our local Veterans groups to send thank you letters to well over 100 Veterans.
We are forever grateful for the ones who protected our freedom and remembering the heroes who never came back.
Thank you!

A big thanks to Conner Crotts and his dad for some wood today!! Now time to figure out what to transform it into.

FACS I spent their class period testing out cooking methods by cooking eggs. Each group made eggs 4 ways and used the broiler to make toast.

We went, we baked, we snacked and we had a blast. The 8th grade FACS was invited to The Villa to give a demonstration on what they've been learning in class. The kids picked pumpkin chocolate chip muffins and chocolate chip cookies. They spent a couple days finding recipes, preparing ingredients, writing their scripts and even testing the recipes. We want to thank the staff and residents for being a great audience and for the opportunity to show off our skills.

Heres whats cookin at DC today. BBQ chicken drumstick and mac and cheese.

Ready or not here we come! 8th grade FACS class took today to mise en place for tonorrows food demonstrations at The Villa.
