Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, DC Maroons Boys Basketball will host Trenton, JV 5:00 and V 6:30. Take note of the earlier game times. Go Maroons
Mini Maroons basketball will perform at half-time of the girl's basketball games on Tuesday, January 23rd. Grades 1-3 will show off their skills at half-time of the 5:45 PM game and grades 4-6 will scrimmage at half time of the 7:15 PM game. We will meet in the hallway in front of the office with 4 minutes before half.
Attached are helpful tips for parents following a school lockdown. Please feel free to reach out to administrators, school counselors, or social worker for additional support if needed.

Community Clothing Drive hosted by DC FBLA. Drop off locations are at the high school, elementary school and the west entrance of the Court House.
Divide County Elementary and Divide County High School lockdown has been lifted. The school received a threat that turned out to be a hoax. Law enforcement was immediately called. The Divide County Sheriff's Department did a sweep of both buildings and found all to be clear. School is back in session.
Mini Maroons will get rolling this Saturday, January 20th. Reminder to turn in your forms to Mrs. Ator by tomorrow to get all t-shirts ordered. Students need to be supervised by parents when they are not actively participating in their session. Students who are not following rules will call parents and be asked to leave. We are there to improve skills and learn to work hard. Poor attitudes, and behaviors affect others athletes as well as coaches ability to work with the athletes.
The first performance will be on January 23d with more information to come. We ask that you try your best to attend this Saturday if you plan to play next week. Those playing in basketball games on Saturday in Ray will be excused.

CONGRATULATIONS to Tiffaney Vigness on being named 2023 NDCEC Paraeducator of the Year! We couldn't be more proud! The award will be presented at the North Dakota Council for Exceptional Children Awards Banquet in Jamestown on February 1.
With the cancellation of last weeks Mini Maroons I would like all forms turned in by Wednesday so we can get t-shirts ordered. All forms will be due on Wednesday if you are interested in Mini Maroons.

Due to the cold temperatures and windchill, Divide County School District will have a 10:00 am start tomorrow, January 15, 2024. Buses will run where possible. Breakfast will not be served.
The DC Boys Basketball game which was postponed today, Jan. 12, 2024 has been rescheduled. Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, Trenton @ DC, JV 5:00, V 6:30.
Due to the cold weather forecasted we will be cancelling Mini Maroons on Saturday, January 13th. We will look at rescheduling a make up week. We will keep you posted. Stay safe and warm every one.
The DC Boys Basketball games scheduled for tonight, Jan. 12, 2024 against Trenton have been postponed due to the cold weather. We are working on rescheduling, I will put that date out as soon as I know.

Don't forget to sign up for Mini Maroons Basketball. The first session is Saturday, January 13th. 9:30-10:15 for grades 1-3 and 10:30-11:30 for grades 4-6. This is a free program at no cost to the athlete or their family. All are welcome to join. Enter through the weight room door on the side of the High School.
Parents do not need to stay during the practice time but if you have an athlete in each session younger and older kids will not be allowed to run around during the other practices. Siblings will need to leave during their siblings practice time or a parent will need to be there to supervise them. Athletes can only be unattended from parents during their session.
Jan. 8, 2024 DC Girls and Boys JV Basketball will be playing in Westby, MT. JV GBB game is at 6:00 Central Time and the JV BBB game is at 7:30. Come support our Maroons.
