Tuesday, October 5 - Influenza/Covid Vaccine Clinic at school. DCHS will be held from 9 - 12, DCE will be held from 1 - 4. Influenza vaccine is available to everyone. Covid vaccine is available for students age 12 and older. The vaccine consent form and letters for both schools are available on the school website and app under Documents.
Elementary volleyball practice will begin at 4:00 on Wednesday, September 22nd.
Come out and support the elementary volleyball teams tonight as they take on the Tioga Pirates. 5th grade game starting at 4:30 with the 6th grade game to follow at Divide County High School.

Positive Covid Notification

Dear Parent/Guardian and Staff
We have been notified that there is a positive Covid case in Grade 6. All classmates and staff in Grade 6 have been identified as likely close contacts to the individual with COVID-19. This does not mean that your child will get the COVID-19 infection, but staff/guardians should be aware of the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and what to do if you/your child gets sick.
Divide County School District is allowing close contacts to attend school if they have not had a positive COVID test result and remain asymptomatic since the current COVID exposure, on the condition that close contacts wear a mask when inside the school and on the school bus for 10 days following the date of last exposure. If the close contact chooses to not wear a mask, or does not wear it properly, during the 10-day quarantine period, they must stay at home.
Please note, this exemption DOES NOT apply to HOUSEHOLD Close Contacts. Household contacts will be required to stay home for the isolation and quarantine period, unless they have been vaccinated or had a documented case of COVID-19 within the last 90 days.
Grade 6 students/staff quarantine/masking period extends from September 17 through September 23 at 11:59 p.m. The last date of exposure at school was on Monday, September 14.
Apple prep has started!!! We've got big plans for these little apples. Look for the FACS/FCCLA table at the farmers market this weekend.
Students in Ms. Buth's English Class had a book tasting today to check out some of the new titles in the classroom library.

FACS I students made Crunchy Munchy Goop today. The recipe used measurements like;dip dot and dribbles instead of standard measurements.
It took alot of guessing and a little frustration, but everyone finished and got a little snack.
Mrs. Ator’s 3rd grade class completed a lesson on the events of September 11th.
They finished up this lesson by making remembrance ribbons for the victims.

Homecoming Dance will take place on Saturday September 18, 2021 from 7-10 pm. The dance will be in the DCHS gym and is for all 7-12 grade DCHS students only.
Homecoming Coronation will take place immediately on the football field following the varsity football game v. Alexander on Friday September 17, 2021.
